Britain Gaelic Athletic Association are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Breakthrough Maths UK. Breakthrough Maths UK will sponsor the Northern Community Gaelic Games and will be in attendance at this years event on the 12th and 13th of June in Manchester to share information in person on the support they can provide our young players.
Supporting Our Players On and Off the Pitch
At Britain Gaelic Athletic Association, we pride ourselves on developing more than just strong teams – we aim to support well-rounded young people. Championship season and exam season often coincide, and we understand the pressure that can place on our players and their families. That’s why we’re delighted to announce our partnership with Breakthrough Maths UK, who will be providing sponsored online maths tutoring to our u15 and u16 club members (Year 10 & Year 11 students) from February right through to the summer exam period.
A Natural Fit for the Gaelic Games Community
Breakthrough Maths was founded in 2020 in Cork, Ireland, supporting primary and secondary students with structured online maths classes designed to build real confidence and long-term understanding. Since then, they have expanded internationally into the UK and UAE market and are currently tutoring GCSE maths. They have partnered with a number of clubs along the way in both countries, including Stockport RUFC, in Manchester, as well as Dubai Eire Og GAA in the UAE. They are providing maths tutoring to help support young players balancing sport and study. Their experience working within sporting communities including the GAA communities makes this partnership between Britain GAA and the maths online tutoring company a natural fit. Much like the GAA, Breakthrough Maths values discipline, resilience, consistency, and community – qualities that are just as important in the classroom as they are on the pitch.
How This Benefits Our Players
Balancing training, matches, and schoolwork isn’t easy, particularly for those preparing for GCSEs and summer exams. This sponsored tutoring programme is designed to ease that pressure. Players will have access to:
- Structured Monday–Thursday online maths sessions
- GCSE and summer exam preparation
- Clear weekly revision plans
- Recorded lessons for flexible catch-up
The sessions are delivered online, allowing players to attend from home without disrupting club commitments.
