Britain GAA welcomes applications from students within our province.
Applicants must be:
- Attending a full-time course at a University or third level College.
- Eligible (under Comhairle Ardoideachais Constitution, Ladies HEC, and Bye Laws), to play in Higher Education GAA/LGFA Competitions
- In their first year of study or above, i.e. ‘freshers’ are eligible to apply.
- Not be in receipt of any other Bursary/Scholarship or Sports Academy Scholarships, where they are in receipt of ‘in kind’ benefits
- Actively involved in their Higher Education GAA/LGFA Club Committee in Britain (roles such as Administration, Coaching, Officiating etc), or involved with the development of British Universities activities across Britain.
- Actively involved in a GAA, Camogie, Ladies Football Club or GAA Handball club in Britain.
- Be available to support either the Men’s or Ladies University Championship weekends.
The closing date for applications will be Monday 30th November 2026 at 5pm.
Applicants will be informed by Friday 9th April 2027 via email if they have been successful.
Those who are successful will not receive their bursary until:
- After the University GAA/LGFA competitions are completed in 2027
- They have attended the University GAA/LGFA Bursary presentation.
